John Kahn in his excerpt The Story of a Snitch uses ethos and pathos appeal to his audience through using specific examples of real life stories. Kahn sucks you into his piece by using the story of John Dowery an ex-con who was trying to turn his life around when he was targeted after being a witness to a murder. Kahn also builds his ethos through using facts of judicial courts and quotes from police officers, FBI members, and other high ranking officials.
